Nigerians are now set to face a new situation on board. Despite the present situation in Nigeria, Federal Government is considering to impose 9% tax on Data, MMS , SMS, calls etc.

Not considering the fact that most people find it hard to even recharge there line.

Bayo Shittu - the Minister of communication said this at the event;
"The Federal government is considering a bill called the Communication Service Tax CST bill."

The tax will be billed to levy 9% on Telecom subscribers who uses text message, mms, call and data. This charge applies to Pay TV Stations.

At an event organised by LCCI (Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry), the Minister insisted that the bill is subject to further deliberation, before it is vetted by the President.
