Despite the fact that we hoped to see more gifts and bonuses from Internet Service Providers (ISPs) on Nigeria's Independence Day, so many expectations were cut short while some are quite happy with the little they have gotten as MTN Nigeria is allowing their customers to make free calls today.

Most of MTN users had expected that the company will at least give over 100% data bundle bonus and double airtime bonus as Nigeria is celebrating its 59th Independence. However, MTN chose to give free 1 minute to call. This move has been highly criticized on social media, but for some, they say half bread is better than none considering the fact that Airtel, 9mobile and Glo are simply quiet about giving any freebies.
